Watch for me by moonlight

a harrowing year with our star-crossed lovers, fueled by optimism and young love.

The year is 2030 and food scarcity has been tightening border policies around the world. Bea and her father own a small motel on the southern border of Mexico and California. Surrounded by the bursting berries of the valley, a bitterness is festering between the agriculture giants that run the town and the migrants that sustain it. Bea finds herself falling, hard for a traveling farmer, Mateo. Moving from El Centro to his home back in the baja peninsula to bring funds back to his family, he is torn between providing for those back home and following his heart north with Bea. Tensions mount as one of the guests at the hotel catches Mateo and Bea and threatens to alert border authorities, a crime that comes with life-altering consequences.
